Brief Answer:
Ovulation in her case on day 15/ 16 of the cycle, USG -follicle study helps

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Dear XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and I think I have understood your concern.
I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1. At first , please do not worry.

2. If your wife has regular periods then usually day of ovulation is 14 days before the day of menses.
Usually , in a woman with regular cycles, as in your wife's case it will be day 15 or 16 of the cycle counted from first day of periods.

3. I usually suggest to have sexual activity at least on alternate days between day 10 to 20 of the cycle. This helps to achieve pregnancy.

Also, there is a sonography method called as follicle study that helps to know the date of ovulation. In this test, sonography is done from day 10 on wards on alternate days. This is a good test to detect ovulation.

4. Also, I suggest to my patients to start on folic acid, vitamin B 12 supplements on daily basis at least 3 months before planning for pregnancy. This helps to have a safe and healthy pregnancy outcome.

5. Lastly, about her weekly travel. As such, this kind of train travel is not responsible in any way for not to conceive. She can travel , even on the days of ovulation. Of course, I hope this travel is not putting physical or mental stress on her.

I hope this answer helps you.
Please do rate this answer as helpful and write a few words , about how this answer helped you.
I will highly appreciate it.
Thanks.
