Posted on Thu, 19 Jan 2017
Question: trying to concieve,

i have pcos so its hard to predict ovulation,

i usually get a faint line on (LH) ovulation tests, however i havent tested for a couple of days so i may have missed the surge, and today when i done a ovulation test i didnt get even a faint line.. could this mean i may be leaning towards a positve pregnancy test as the test is picking up no LH

my cervix position is now high soft and closed and my cervical mucus is stretchy buy creamy,

i know i have to wait a few more days befor taking a pregnancy test but do u think these are signs towards the positive test

Brief Answer:
no way to tell now

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

Unfortunately the absence of the faint line will in no way tell us if the pregnancy test will be positive or no.

For even if you ovulated in the period that you have not checked on the ovulation kit, the probability of getting pregnant depends on final implantation and growth of the embryo.

I do hope it works this month but do not stress yourself about it now. You will have to wait till the day of your next expected period to do the pregnancy test.

Hope this helps.
Regards.

im more asking if having no line and having a high soft closed cervix may indicate that conception has possibly occurred

Brief Answer:
no

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Again cervical changes can rarely predict successful pregnancy. Cervical changes such as bluish discoloration happen only after 4-6 weeks of confirmed pregnancy. Its too early to guess now.
