Brief Answer:
oiling doesnt reduce hair fall

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for writing to us.
Oiling doesn't reduce hair fall.
Oiling reduces dryness and conditions your hair to some extent. Usually once in a week oiling of scalp and hair is enough. You may use almond oil or olive oil or coconut oil for the same. Apply lukewarm oil over scalp and hair using a cotton ball. Oil should be just enough to cover scalp and hair properly.
I wouldn't advocate using oil morning and evening as it would attract dirt and grease and may increase dandruff, thus indirectly aiding to hair fall.

Now if you are having hair fall, I would like to know
Since how long are you having it
areas affected ie diffuse or frontal/temporal/crown area affected
any history of stress, chronic illness, nutritional deficiency, hereditary factors
having any local cause like dandruff.

Answer these questions and if possible attach a pic of hair fall, so that I can ascertain cause and advise proper treatment.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Take care

Brief Answer:
details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
The cause of your hair fall is probably male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia where hair fall is usually seen in frontal, temporal and centre of scalp.

In my practice, I usually prescribe below mentioned medicines for such hair fall
1) A hair supplement like androanagen once daily
2) Minoxidil solution 5% 1 ml twice in a day( mintop/tugain/amexidil)
3) if response is not good after a mnoth or two, then I also add tablet finesteride 1mg once in a day.

Usually six to nine months are required for desirable response.

Hope this helped you.
Take care
