I am suffering from liver abscess and doctor installed drain on last Saturday . Pus is also comming out. How much time ll take drain installed ? How many times to take recover ?

The time of drainage will depend on the size of the liver abscess present and the nature of liver abscess. Pus should not be more than 10ml/day. If it is less than 10ml collection then they can decide to stop the drainage.
Was the abscess material sent to cytology? Was an Ultrasound done on the abscess? Why did collect in the liver? Is it ameobic or bacterial or fungal abscess?
I suggest you to follow up with your radiologist for follow up Ultrasounds to check if the drainage is properly happening.

yes ultrasound done . ultrasound shows abscess. it's amoebic. please tell me pus/water are comming from drain is normal or not ? For how many days water come . I attached file .
