How Long After Taking Fertigyn Will Egg Rupture?

Question: Hello Doctor,
We are trying for our second baby.
Gynacologist Doctor has adviced my wife for folicular study (after continuing fortyle-50 tablet for 5 days starting 2nd day of the cycle).
After 12th day scan, Doctor has adviced her to take Fertigyn 10000 injection. My wife has taken the injection on Saturday(18th July 2015) at 11 AM.

1)After taking the injection, how long it will take for rupturing of egg.
2) How many hours it will have impact and what is the right time for contact to get pregnant.
3) She has asked us to do another scan on monday(20th July 2015). Should we have contact on Sunday or Monday? What should be the frequency for contact?
4) As per our request she has suggested us to use Neon Lubic Gel for lubrication during contact. Is it safe to use while trying for a baby?

Please clarify our doubts on the chances of getting pregnant.

Hi XXXXXXX I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
1. Egg usually ruptures 36 hours after the hCG injection.
2. You should have unprotected intercourse from today onwards as fertilization can occur from 5 days prior to one day after the ovulation( rupture of egg).However, maximum fertility will be tomorrow around 11 pm, when it is the time for ovulation.
3.You can have intercourse daily from today onwards, it has no effect on ultrasound planned on Monday.
4. It is better not to use any lubricant gel during intercourse as it may cause harm to sperms and decrease the chances of conception.

Hello Doctor,

Thanks for the reply.
As we understood from the reply, maximum fertility will be tomorrow, Does it mean tommorow there is more probability of getting pregnancy in case we will have contact tomorrow?

Since we are planning for a alternate day intercourse, in that case which day would be the best day increasing the chances more for pregnancy.Would it be today or tomorrow?

Due to dryness during pentration, we have been asked to use the lubrication. If we have to avoid this, is there other alternative. Kindly suggest.

Hi dear, thanks for responding. Maximum fertility is tomorrow. It would be best if you have intercourse tomorrow.
Its better not to use any lubricant, however if there is severe discomfort during intercourse, then you can use the jelly prescribed by your doctor.
