How Is Unwanted Kit Containing Mifepristone And Misoprostol Used?
Question: Hi Doctor,
My wife is 30 yrs old and having two kids, now again she became pregnant of approx 7 weeks. We tested it yesterday morning and its confirmed pregnancy. We don't want any baby now. doctor prescribed to take Unwanted kit. one tablet she took yesterday afternoon 2:30 pm and another two tablet after 6 hours at 8:30 pm, and next two tablet to be taken today after 24 hrs of send tablets i.e. today 8:30 pm (As suggested by the doctor). but as of now she does not started her bleeding. is it normal? of is there any issue? please help, i am bit concerned.

The dosage for unwanted kit is to take mifepristone tab 200mg first and then after 36 hrs , supposed to take all four misoprostol tabs 200mg each together.
Its fine , i understand you have taken it as advised by your gynae, its 36 hrs plus now. the bleeding should ideally start within 24 hrs of the last dosage.
you may choose to wait and watch and bleeding should start. In case it doesnt start in next 72 hrs then you would have to repeat an ultrasound pelvis and have to undergo a surgical abortion in lieu of failed medical abortion.
so presently just wait for 72 hrs, for the bleeding to start.
