Question: I recently kissed this girl who later told me she has herpes. Her lips looked normal so I guess she wasn't having an outbreak. But I'm afraid that I may have contracted the virus. I kissed her 4 times on the lips. Can I get the virus that simply and should I be worried?

Brief Answer:
No chance of infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.

One can get herpes virus infection only if the partner is having active herpes lesions, fever and infection.

History of herpes infection means she had infection in the past. In such situation, there is no active lesions on the body and hence there is no spread of infection, even after bodily contact.

I will suggest you not to worry.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
