How Is HSV 1 Trasnsmitted?

Question: how worried should i be... Today i had my t shirt off because i work as a life guard at a pool & it was 89 out ... but any ways my other co worker had his shirt off as well and we were standing right next to each other talking and his arm bumped into my arm 2 times before i realized that his arm touched mine -meaning the bicep area... but any ways then when i looked down i seen he had some old very small looking pimiples similar in nature that went a way from it looking like he picked at them prolly bout a few days old they were spread periodically over his arm but not red in nature... Once i noticed tho that i panicked reguardless and not longer then 3-5min after the whole arm bump happened i ran to get these 66% alcohol wipes that we use all the time and i took off my shirt and wiped my whole arm multiple times. Then i ran all the way to my car about 5min away in a parking garage because i remember i had some 70% rubbing alcohol then i sprayed my arm all over again.. then after i got back 2 work & used some more wipes on it... So my question is

1- How worried should i be i might of Got HSV1 or hsv2 on my Arm ?... whats my chances % wise?
2- How many days would it be to realize i might be ok?
3- How many days Could it be until i could get tested?
4- And Could the Alcohol kill a virus that fast i read some where 70%--90% kills herpes almost instantly on the spot fast so maybe the virus wouldnt of had a chance to settle in if possible you think???

Help Any body plzzzz i would like 2 ease my mind from this freak of nature circumstance!??

Brief Answer:
No need to get worried or tested!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

There is no reason to get worried. You would not contract any disease given the brief duration of contact and al the information you have provided. Besides, it is very unlikely that this is herpes or any other contagious infection. The main illness am concerned about is the worried state of your mind and not what went on.

There is no need to get worried. there is no need to get tested. all you need is to forget that something happened, go about your daily life and that would be the end of this story. If infections were easily transmitted that way, all doctors would have had all the possible infections on earth.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications should need be.

thank you doctor for all your help now i can rest easy tonight & all the next weeks ahead... And Doc for future reference are there anything else besides condoms that can also protect me from hsv i feel i have a little bit of a-phobia about it since its so easy to catch from what i read?...sometimes i get worried to even kiss girls at times... Sometimes ill kiss a girl if i like her and we go out on a date then... shortly after ill spray some alcohol on my lips if i go 2 the bathroom but, im not like a big germ freak..but just when it comes 2 hsv i get real iffy about it... Because i see how some people react to it in public they itch them selfs and all that stuff...
1--So whats also the best way 2 go out with girls kiss them and also maybe have sex with girls but be safe about it besides just using condoms ?

Cuz your right i think sometimes that topic i take a little over board sometimes any suggestions & also thanks again 4 all your help in advance

See below!

Detailed Answer:
I have read what you have described above. It may not be the best of options to you but I strongly believe you have obsessive compulsive disorder(OCD). I will suggest that you get evaluated by a psychiatrist and managed adequately.

Who doesn't kiss? The risk of infection is real each time we have intimate contact with others. The best way to keep this low is by sticking to the same partner and being faithful. Protecting yourself with condoms is the best known way to protect against HSV. However, if the wound is on a different part of the body, you may not be well protected by condoms. If HSV lesions are not active, you will not catch HSV. This means if you do not see an active sore, then there is no point getting worried.

HSV does not cause itches. The main cause of itches is scabies and fungal infection. do not mix them up, please.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Kiss and do not spray any alcohol and of course, you would still be the same person. Do not make live a lot more complex than it is already.
