Question: My husband and I had a condom break last night so this morning I went out a took at plan B one step to prevent pregnancy. ..then I read that it has been proven to not be effective for women over 165 lbs and I weight about 195lbs...would it be dangerous foe me to take XXXXXXX 24 hours later from the plan b as a back up...I am very fertile and we already have plenty of children. Brief Answer:
You took the pill in time

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Plan B one step if taken within 24 hours, is more than 95 % effective in preventing a pregnancy. You took the pill in time, so most likely you would avoid the pregnancy. Withdrawal bleeding would occur in a few days equivalent to a typical period. Get a pregnancy test done if 3 weeks elapse after the unprotected sex and you do not get your period by then. Taking the XXXXXXX pill wont give added benefit and you are more likely to mess up your coming periods.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
