Brief Answer:
It is not advisable to drive on day of injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
It is not advisable to drive on the day of injection after cervical epidural steroid injection. Rest is needed and Strenous actitivity should be avoided on day of shot. On the day following the shot one can return to his regular activities.
You can discuss with your doctor about it.
Everything else already discussed.

Waiting for shots on the 7th hoping it helps thank u for asking but now doctor says my vitamin d is way to high i dont take no supplements what else could cause this. And what can happen if you have to much vitamin d
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Sudhir Kumar (1 hour later)
Brief Answer:
It can occur by food fortified with vitamin D.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Apart from vitamin D supplements, foods which are fortified with vitamin D can cause high vitamin D levels. What is your levels of vitamin D? Hypervitaminosis D (higher vitamin D) is rarely seen when it is taken is higher doses for a long time continuously.

Excessive amounts of vitamin D in the body can cause calcium levels in the blood to rise. This can lead to a condition called hypercalcemia (too much calcium in your blood), which can cause a variety of symptoms, including:fatigue, loss of appetite, weight loss, excessive thirst, excessive urination, dehydration, constipation, irritability, nervousness, muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, confusion, disorientation, high blood pressure, heart arrhythmias etc. If levels remains constantly high then it can also leads to kidney stones formation in long term.

If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

Take care

So i recieved the injections in my neck and am experience bad headaches and the pain seems to have gotten worse is this normal for someone after injections
doctor
Answered by Dr. Dr. Sudhir Kumar (6 hours later)
Brief Answer:
These can occur in some after epidural spinal injection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back
Procedural pain may be felt more for one to two days. Some patients notice a mild increase or worsening of their pain for the first day or two after injection. If you have pain at the injection site, application of an ice pack to this area should be helpful. Analgesic such as ibuprofen can be of help.Pain reduction starts after 3-5 days. Headache is unusual though it can be there. Spinal headache is a rare complication that may occur in less than 1% of epidural injections and usually heal on their own. The spinal fluid inside can leak out, and when severe, the brain loses the cushioning effect of the fluid, which causes a severe headache when you sit or stand. These types of headaches occur typically about 2-3 days after the procedure and are positional - they come on when you sit or stand and go away when you lie down. If you do develop a spinal headache, it is OK to treat yourself. As long as you do not feel ill and have no fever and the headache goes away when you lay down, you may treat yourself with 24 hours of bed rest with bathroom privileges while drinking plenty of fluids. This almost always works. If it does not, contact the doctor who performed the procedure or your referring physician. A procedure (called an epidural blood patch) can be performed in the hospital that has a very high success rate in treating spinal headaches.
