Hi

Weight loss is difficult, normally it requires your body to put out more energy (with activity ) than it is receiving (with foods and drink). You can either do this by exercise or by decreasing the amount of food or drinks used.
It is more difficult to do this with exercise- to do the exercise required to lose a pound a week or firm the body requires- jumping rope for 1 hour, swimming for 1 hour , running at a rate of 8 miles per hour for 1 hour.
Exercise is important in improving fitness, heart strength and maintaining weight loss.

It is alot easier to alter your diet to allow you to lose weight or fat from an area of the body.
There are two main types of diet: low fat diet where you reduce the amount of fat used by reducing meats (particularly to fatty aspect),
reduce the use of oils, dressings and fried foods
use low fat versions of milk, cheeses

Low carb diet where you would reduce the carbohydrates that you use because in the body carbohydrates are turned into fat.
Low carb diets are usually associated with faster weight loss in the initial stages.
They involve reducing to a minimum the use of breads, biscuits, rice, pasta, breakfast cereals, potatoes, sweet potatoes, starchy vegetables. Liberal use of animal or plant proteins (meats, eggs, peas, beans, cheese), increased use of salads and non starchy vegetables (avocado, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, eggplant, mushroom XXXXXXX beans, tomatoes and spinach) and fruits with reduced sugar (such melons and berries- strawberries, blackberries, raspberries)
Both diets would involve cutting out fruit juices and carbonated drinks which contain fructose that is also changed into fat that is deposited in the abdomen.
You need to drink alot of water , at least 6 to 8 glasses a day ,and use a multivitamin.

I hope this information helps, feel free to ask any other questions
