How Can Manic Depressive Illness In An Elderly Person Be Treated?

default
Posted on Thu, 25 May 2017
Question: I'm a manic-depressive. I'm 77, and almost everything is wrong with me, except that physically I'm active and even strong by normal standards. Isn't that weird? Took a hospital numbers test and scored highest, so no Alshimers. What do U think?

Brief Answer:
I am glad to know it

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

It has been established that despite all odds men can sustain their good physical health as well as mental health with appropriate use of physical exercise and diet.

The same has been replicated in your case where the presence of manic depressive illness along with all odds of life did not stop you from having above normal physical health and alzheimes disease.

I consider you as a role model for many individuals with chronic mental illness who stop doing anything and live a life which is below standards from what they deserve.

Thanks again for posting.
If you have more questions feel free to write back to me.
With best regards.
