default
Posted on Thu, 7 Jul 2016
Question: I slipped down and got hit with a stone and started bleeding. Then I cleaned with Dettol and applied Povidone-iodine powder once. After that am applying only Coconut Oil.
Is this enough or do i have to take any medicines or Ointments?

Brief Answer:
Nothing to Worry..

Detailed Answer:
Hello Nxxxxxxxxxx , Welcome to HCM..

I've gone through your query and reviewed the image of the wound..

Let me assure you that it's nothing serious and the scab is in place too.. you've already done a god job by cleaning it .. You can apply povidone iodine solution for just another 1-2 days and that's all..

No need to apply any thing else..you may consider taking Inj T.T(Tetanus toxoid) if not taken in past 6 months or not immunized..just take it in any of your nearest pharmacy..

Moreover, just keep the area dry and don't cover the wound.. take extra precaution while bathing also..it'll heal completely in a week..also avoid moving and bending the area too much..

Take Care
Kind Regards
