How Can A Lump On The Forehead Be Treated?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Feb 2017
Question: Hi - I have had tonisilitis this week and am a 33 yo f/m. This afternoon I noticed a lump / bump emerged on my forehead, left side just above the end of my eyebrow and above my temple. It's quite visible about 2cm. It is hard, doesn't hurt and immobile. It almost looks like a bump but I didn't bump my head . Could this be related to my tonsillitis? Or should I get checked out?

Just want to add - the lump must have come up in the last 4 hours as wasn't there this morning. It's very noticeable

Brief Answer:
cyst for evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for your query. As per images u sent it looks like a cyst. Can be dermiod cyst or lipoma. Definelty not can cancerous or related to tonsillitis. Need clinical evaluation. If it the size increases or cause pain and redness then needs urgent treatment. If not u can wait and watch. No empirical treatment for this. Don't worry tonsillitis does not cause bump in forehead. Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
