What Causes Back And Neck Pain With A History Of Lyme Disease?
Question: Hi. I've had rhinoplasty many years ago and my back pain started afterwards. I believe there is a connection. Perhaps one of my nerves got damaged. Also my face, particularly my nose feels numb and it's been like this for years now. I've had this back and neck pain for years now. I also got lyme disease years ago. This could also be another reason for back and neck pain. I also did a spinal tap I think twice and perhaps the robotic arm damaged one of my nerves. Finally I went to a doctor and was told that I could have some arthritis in my back and I got a procedure done. But I think it was only performed on my lower back area and my upper back area and neck hurts really bad. I wish there was some kind of solution to this. I really feel like something got damaged during my rhinoplasty and my face feels numb after rhinoplasty. I'm looking for a solution for that as well. Can somebody help me?

The numbness on your face and nose could be due to nerve damage that can occur during the surgery. If it is been a long time since your surgery that is not likely to recover.
The neck and back issues are not likely related to the rhinoplasty. Spinal taps can occasionally cause nerve damage but that is pretty rare and would only involve the lower back, not your neck.
If you have not already had an MRI of your neck you probably need that to sort out the cause. Only when you know the cause can you see an appropriate treatment.
Physical therapy, chiropractic care or acupuncture may give you some relief.
