Question: Hi,

I am having pain in the left side of the inner jaw from yesterday.
I am currently 23 years old and haven't faced any problems like impacted wisdom tooth, etc before.
Please let me know as to what has to be done.
Do help me know about the required analgesics/antibiotics to be taken.

Thanks,

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Brief answer...it could be a gum infection or infected tooth
Detailed answer....
Since you are complaining of pain in inner side, the most likely cause should be either a gum infection or some tooth abscess.
You must consult a dentist for the proper inspection of the mouth from inside to find the cause and treatment.
Till you consult the doctor, start taking ibuprofen 400 mg three times a day.
This should settle the pain and inflammation.
Antibiotics should be prescribed only after the diagnosis.
I hope it helps however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
