Having Itchy Vaginal Discharge. What Could Be Causing This?

Question: I have vaginal discharge which is thick white/ light yellowish in color. There is itching as well.
The itching has started some 3-4 months back.Discharge was always there.

It gets all wet. I also have lower back and legs pain.

What can be the cause?

The possibilities are:
Bacterial vaginosis: it can occur due to the over growth of local vaginal flora.
It can present with whitish or greyish white vaginal discharge that usually associated with fishy smell, itching etc.

Yeast infection: this can occur by organisms like candida.
Which can present with curdy whitish discharge, itching etc.

So in vaginal infection discharge, itching etc are common features.
By physical examination and microbiological examination the actual causative organism can be identified and treatment can be given.
So better to consult gynecologist get examined.
