The effects could range from nothing i.e tumor found incidentally, effects due to over or under functioning of the pituitary gland, effects due to its size and growth, lime headaches, visual symptoms etc. Rarely these tumours can have a bleed within. Themselves a therefore present as an emergency.
What would be most useful is to know under what what circumstances the diagnosis was made in your case.
