Have Sharp Stabbing Pain In Stomach Below Rib Cage When Sneezing. Why Do I Have Sulphur Smelling Burps?

default
Posted on Sat, 7 Jul 2012
Question: I have a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach below my right rib cage, but only when I sneeze, cough or twist funny and its in a pretty small area this just came all of a sudden this morning. When I dont move that area slightly stings. Also I have really strange sulfur smelling/tasting burps, bad gas and heartburn for the last week. I have read up on these symptoms and found lots of different reasons for them.

Hi

Thanks for posting your query

The signs and symptoms mentioned in your history are classic of GERD

But equally there are chances you have collitis also,as you have history of bad gas

Avoid contaminated meals and liquids
Take a seven day treatment of a probiotic / Ofloxacillin and Ornidazole

Add a proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole to it

1] Avoid spicy, fermented meals
2] Do not have heavy meals
3] Avoid smoking and alcohol
4] Wear loose clothes
5] Do not stoop
6] Do not lift heavy weights
7] Raise the head end of your bed
8] If Obese lose weight

Hope this helps
