Question: Had a puj blockage and have had a stent inserted 2 weeks later I am urinating heavy blood.
I am on the list for pyleoplastery surgery

I am looking at the causes of blood in urine in this scenario.
The stent placement could have introduced infection or it may because of decompression of distended renal pelvis.
It is better to do urine culture, treat infection if present and then proceed with the surgical procedure.
