Brief Answer: Central obesity needs diet and physical exercise.. Detailed Answer: Hi, GERD cause abdominal bloating. But the symptoms usually return to normal after a few hours only to increase with every food. If you have a big tummy that doesn't change with food, then you perhaps suffer from central obesity. Central obesity occur due to accumulation of fat in the abdominal wall. You will need to cut down the calorie intake through a modified low calorie diet and start cardioexercise to lose weight. As you start to lower weight, include abdominal muscle toning exercise. Continue use of omeprazole. It would also be better to get an endoscopy test done, if you haven't done in the past. Hope this helps. Regards
