My wife who is 32 yrs old has severe sneezing problem due to itchiness that she experiences in cold dry weather conditions. This has been so for more than 2 years now. We tried a steroidal spray which gave only temporary relief but once stopped, the problem became even worse. Whenever she happens to go out in cold air or gets in contact with cold water, sneezes start and continue for very long time. Also, she is mildly dust allergic. Please suggest some effective homeopath medication for this problem.

Brief Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX I shall answer in detail as follows:

Detailed Answer:

The condition of your wife seems to be due to seasonal allergies.

In any case of allergy, the causative factor is important. By this I do not mean the cold dry weather or dust. What I mean is the cause of her becoming sick or less immune to these factors. It is not the problem with the weather or dust; it is the problem with HER. The same cold air and dust which were not inimical earlier are so for the last 2 years. You have very particularly told that she is suffering since 2 years. Therefore what happened just prior to the onset of allergy 2 years back becomes important. That will be a sudden or shocking psychological conflict. You have to give in detail what happened in her life around that life period. I hope you understood what I mean.
What is important is her reaction to this particular causative factor. This reaction is expressed both through her mind and body symptoms. The type of these reactions will be based on your genetics and constitution. That will vary from individual to individual. These are very important information a classical homoeopathic physician should have before she is cured through Homoeopathy.
My first warning is that she should not prolong the use of any nasal spray thinking that the problem is with her nose. No, the problem is with her and SHE has to be cured. Continued use of such sprays may lead the disease to go deeper to the lung level causing asthmatic conditions.
Homoeopathy can very easily and permanently cure her problem. But you have to provide me the details about HER. It has to be about the details of her presenting complaints, other associated complaints, past history with her other illnesses, surgeries, accidents etc. in the past, family history with her parents’ and grand parents’ and siblings’ diseases, other genetic tendencies, gynaecological and obstetrical history, treatment history, investigation reports, physical general conditions, life situations and her mental reactions to them etc. etc.
In order to prepare her case I shall assist you by sending a case taking format. You can use it as a frame work only. You can expand her case to any extent and send it back to me. After studying her case in detail, I can prescribe for her, her genetic constitutional remedy that will cure HER first and then her allergic sneezing and itching will go away.
Expecting your wife’s case at the earliest, and wishing you and your wife good health,
