Brief Answer:
LArginine and proanthocyadin to improve blood flow

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing in to us.

As you have written, your wife is in her 33rd week of pregnancy and has been prescribed L-Arginine and proanthocyadin granules powder. Research has shown that supplementation with L-arginine and antioxidant vitamins showed that this combination may help to combat abnormally high blood pressure during high risk pregnancies. These granules are vasodilators. They promote better circulation, so the blood supply to the placenta is better and not restricted due to swelling caused by water retention or any other reason.

Amniotic index 8.6 cms is normal. Normally it should not be a cause of miscarriage. However, you have not mentioned any other problems during pregnancy in your query like high blood pressure, anemia, heart disease or swelling of feet etc. There are many causes of miscarriage.

I suggest you get your wife closely monitored by her doctor and ask her to feel for baby movements regularly. Also get an ultrasound scan of baby as and when asked by her doctor.

Hope this answers your query.
Do write back in case of doubts.
