Brief Answer:
You should try topical creams...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I apologize for the late reply...

Acne is a very common condition in women in this age group. Hormonal changes and other factors make this condition very common and recurring. I shall provide some important measures to control this problem.

1. First and foremost, do not wash very frequently. Frequent face washing clears of essential facial secretion. This increases chances of infection and acne eruptions. I recommend not more than two face wash in a day.
2. Do not pop lesions. It can introduce infection and worsen the condition.
3. Use topical agents to control acne. Isotretinoin ointment (0.05%) is available over the counter. You can use this ointment on active acne lesions only at night. Follow instruction specified on the product/pamlet.
4. I also suggest doxycycline 100mg twice daily for 2-3 months in such condition. You can visit a doctor nearby and take a prescription of this drug.
5. Use mild aloe vera containing moisturizer for other benefits.

As far as hair is concerned,
1. Oil your scalp and massage for half an hour before bathing.
2. Use a good antidandruff shampoo. Ketoconazole containing shampoo like nizoral is my recommendation.
3. Use a hair conditioner after hair wash.
4. Eat healthy with diet containing plenty of fruits and vegetables. Root vegetables like carrot, beet root, turnip, potato, etc., are helpful. Avoid fasting / skipping meals.
5. Take biotin supplement - tablet biotin forte - once a day for 2 months.

If you have problem during menstruation, visit a gynecologist. The cause of dysmenorrhea (painful menstruation) if any, needs to be identified. The cause can be related to acne and hair issues.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarification.

Brief Answer:
Products listed below:

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You can use sebamed soap. This is available at any local pharmacy store. Among moisturizer, I prefer cetaphil moisturizer. I think cetaphil is also available as oil control moisturizer. Choose one as per your skin type; if you are unable to find the ones suiting, you can take the help of a local dermatologist.

In addition to the above, isotretinoin can also be used as per the my above description.

Hope this helps. Write back for clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Apply on the active pimples...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Isotretinoin cream should be applied as a very thin layer on the active acne lesions. It is better to apply once in a day and only at night. Using it during the day will increase chances of pigmentation (dark area). You can use it as long as the pimples are active. Stop using once the lesions disappear.

Besides the chances of pigmentation, you may develop allergies if you are allergic to any of the contents of the cream.

There are no other major side effects reported apart from those 2 side effects.

Hope this helps. Write back for assistance. If you have no other queries please close this discussion.
