Hello,

Thanks for posting your all queries. My comments are as follows:

1) It is not compulsory to bleed after taking unwanted 72 pill. But most of the cases, we see that a withdrawal bleeding comes out within 7-10 days of taking the pill. Taking the pill within first 24 hrs gives protection more than 95% against unwanted pregnancy.

2) Following taking the pill, next period cycle may be delayed 7-10 days due to hormonal imbalance and mental stress.

3) You should wait up to 7 days (10th May) to get your period normally. If you do not get your period in this time, you need to undergo one home pregnancy test with urine initially and blood test for beta-HCG to rule out pregnancy. Following test report, you need to consult with gynecologist for next line of management.

Don't be worried. Try to avoid mental stress by yoga/ meditation and take healthy diet with more vegetables & drink more water. Take sound sleep and practice safe sex in future.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Wish your good health. Good luck.

Regards,
Dr Soumen.
