Had Colonoscopy. Polyps Removed. Diagnosed With Diverticulosis. Suggestions?
Question: I had a colonoscopy on 9/13 - Five polyps removed - benign - diagnosed with diverticuLOSIS.
Was doing fine, ate steak on the 28th. I have had diareha similar to the type I experienced after the second dose of my colon cleansing preparation. Cannot stop the diareha. have gone at least 10 times over the past 24 hours. Is this often a happening after a 50 year old cleans out his colon for the first time? Thanks

The diarrhea you have is not due to colon cleansing. The diarrhea due to colon cleansing for colonoscopy usually last for a day only.
The diarrhea you have now probably is due to infection.
A stool test may be done to rule out infection.
Take probiotic supplements and yogurt for faster relief.
Drink adequate fluids including electrolyte solution to remain well hydrated.
