Got Itchy Scab On Penis. Having Regular Sex. Partner On Minera Birth Control. Fungal Infection?

Question: 30 y.o. male. I have a question about a skin irritation that appeared about 4 days ago, after having rough sex with gf (she was on top). We have had monogamous (to the best of my knowledge) unprotected sex for the past for months without incident. She uses Mirena to prevent pregnancy.
Sx include 4-5 red, irritated areas with what appear to be scabs (not dissimilar from a very irritated mosquito bite that was scratched too much). They are somewhat painful and itchy. There is no discharge of any kind. Coincidentally, these are in the same area where she was on top of me during intercourse, grinding.
Also, I just noticed this evening additional reddening and irritation of bilateral base of penis (I think there may be a lymph node there). No scabs or discharge of any kind. It just itches a bit.
My first impression was she ripped my hair out and that caused irritation. Now I'm not so sure. I'm thinking possible diff. Dx include some type of fungus or yeast infection, some allergen she recently applied, an STD, or simply skin irritation. Any input is appreciated. I do not currently have health insurance and appreciate the perspective. I can provide an image if needed.

Hello dear,
Thanks for the query.
It appears like an irritation to some chemical she might have applied.
In std the usually affected site is glans of the penis, also in most cases there is ulceration and oozing and more pain when compared to itch.

Kindly upload few photographs, it will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.

Thank yoi

Thank you for your quick reply! I'm very hopeful this is the case, as I am fairly certain we have both been faithful. The glans penis is unaffected.

I have also noticed some swelling of the supromedial and/or superolateral superficial inguinal lymph nodes. I do not think the inferior superficial inguinal lymph nodes are swollen, but I'm not sure. While I'm aware this may be evidence of herpes or AIDS, 1) do not have a fever, 2) there are no blisters or discharge, and 3) my other lymph nodes seem to be unremarkable. There is no pain in the lymph nodes, but there are large enough for me to notice upon apply pressure.

Further, my girlfriend has had a severe fever this past week, which makes me even more concerned. Her primary Sx are cough, fever, and chills. I have yet to get the courage to ask her if she has any rash. On the other hand, she also works in a hospital, has a two-year-old-son who's always catching something from daycare, and is under tremendous stress that comes with graduate education. Thus, she does contract illnesses on a fairly regular basis. My guess is that although I have not had Sx of whatever she caught, I did come in contact with the pathogen and my body is fighting it off.

I've attached three pictures. As you can notice, the irritation is primarily right where she would have been rubbing against me with significant force.

Thanks again for your perspective!

Hello,
Thanks for the follow up and excellent quality photograph.
Don't worry at all, the diagnosis is quiet certain,
It is bacterial folliculitis, a very common condition in hairy areas and has nothing to do with sexually transmitted diseases.
Because of friction the hair folllicles are slightly damaged and got infected by bacteria, the lymph nodes are also enlarged due to infection.

Apply oint mupirocine twice daily for 7 days and take some antibiotic capsule, you will be fine.

Wishing you both a good health.

Thank you

Thanks so much! Is there a non-prescription alternative that I can use for this. I would prefer to not have to pay for 1) visiting a physician and a pharmacy. Thanks again!

Thanks for follow up.
Mupirocine should be available non prescription.
If it not available ask for any anti bacterial cream available.
You can take capsule amoxycyline, even this you may get otc.
Thank you
