Hi and thanks for the query,

Coughing and experiencing floating moving white lights only for about 5 seconds to me is not a call for alarm, and I suggest you should be calm about this. It becomes a real issue when it becomes a repeated phenomenon. You might need to consult your doctor if it repeats itself or you start experiencing permanent visual disorders, and especially if they are persistently associated with cough.

If you have once experienced this before, it might be useful for me to know a bit about some key issues of your medical history. It might be necessary to know if you have experienced this sensation around your jaw before or this is the first time. Also, did you experience an acute pain, headache, migraine or some kind of a dislocation of the joint or a stabbing pain or sensation? Any particular medical condition you regularly suffer from?

If you simply experienced it for the first time, and have not specific chronic medical conditions, I think you should not worry for now and remain watchful.
Feel free asking further questions in case you have other specific worries, would be glad contributing. Thanks and best regards.

Waiting for your follow up question if necessary, Be well.
