Did you get all of questions? Saying I have red dots on my uvula and the skin is red around it, sore throat sometimes, ear stuffiness, popping a lot, and pressure from my neck to my ears, and pain on my neck on both sides where my glands are

Brief Answer: Possible streptococcus infections, sugg.lab tests.. Detailed Answer: Hi my dear, Thank you for writing back. I did not received all your questions. Now that I have more of your clinical data, would suggest as following: - ear stiffness, sore throat and red dots to uvula are most probably due to chronic streptococcus infection : can do throat swab culture and sensitivity to determine it and start antibiotic treatment. - popping a lot could suggest gastric problems and possible candida infection: I suggest to do culture of stool for candida You can send a photo of your uvula for further assistance! Thank you! Dr.Bardha

How do I send a picture? I have gallbladder disease so thats probably why I have the popping, I guess. I took a round of keflex 500 mg and it didn't help but took it for like 7 days, I didn't see any improvement so I didn't take the rest. I have post nasal drip in the back of my throat all the time could it cause my symptoms

Brief Answer: Please refer to the following suggestions... Detailed Answer: Hi my dear, You can send the picture at the YYYY@YYYY ; with the subject line: Attention Dr.Fatbardha Sejdini. My dear, you took Keflex which is an antibiotic; that is the cause of your popping. Please bare in mind that antibiotics break the normal balance of microorganisms in the intestines, giving rise to candida infection. So, at your case, I'd suggest to take probiotics and antifungal therapy (nystatin). Gallbladder disease is also another factor, but your situation is aggravated by the use of Keflex. With regards to your post-nasal drip, that could be a cause, but first we must understand why you are having that: - is it because of any septum deviation? - allergy? - sinus inflammation/infection? So, at this point, I strongly suggest to consult an ENT specialist to determine the real culprit and get the most appropriate treatment. I also repeat again to do culture and sensitivity testing of your throat swabbing to determine if you have chronic bacterial infection (to me it is streptococcus) or because of candida infection. Looking forward to have your picture in. Wish you health my dear! Dr.Bardha

The doctors told me i have allergies, I've had sinus problems for about five years now, I would get sinus infections a lot. I thought sinusitis was a symptom of gallbladder disease. I still have my wisdom teeth, I was supposed to get them out because they grew in sideways and there isn't reallly enough room for them the gums around them are always sore. The very back of my mouth where my uvula is before you get to the throat is red and the spots on my uvula look like the red spots you get when a tiny blood vessel bust, there's three on it. I tried sending a picture but it said I had to create an account I was talking about ear popping not pooping LOL. I think I have allergies, in high school, I remember I've had some problems

Brief Answer: Allergy is the main culprit of your problems... Detailed Answer: Hi my dear, So, the main problem of yours is allergy. Allergy gives you trouble breathing. Trouble breathing make you sleep or breath with open mouth. So, you end up with chronic sore throat (bacterial infection). At this point, you should care of allergy with allergist, to prevent and cure the complications. Wish you health! Dr.Bardha

You don't think I have strep or anything. I don't have any drainage in my nose just down my throat seems strange to me to have these problems without my nose running or anything. Very seldom ill have to blow my nose, seems very gooy like I need water

Brief Answer: Possible strep throat, tests advised.... Detailed Answer: Hi my dear, Although allergy is your primary problem, however, it might be associated with other health problems as the one you are facing now: sore throat (possible complication). To rule out strep throat, I recommend to do culture of throat and sensitivity as mentioned earlier. You might have strep throat although not having runny nose or other. Take good oral and throat hygiene! Wish you health! Dr.Bardha

Sorry if I'm bugging you, something happened to me before now ever since I always think the worst when something goes wrong. When I was on antibiotics should it of cleared it up if it were strep. It was keflex and is this anything to worry about When this all started I had a lot of pressure seemed like I was getting choked the pressure was so bad on my neck and later that day I got extremely hot and shaky, which could of been my sugar dropping but it has never been like that I thought I should tell you what happened to let you know i don't have a history of any disease or anything other than gallbladder disease. I had a horrible experience having my oldest son who is now 5

Brief Answer: Please refer to the following answer... Detailed Answer: Hello back my dear, Now, although you have taken keflex without a culture and sensitivity testing, perhaps it has not shown to be susceptible. So, after the testing, you will get the antibiotics that really works for you and "your strep":), so you have more chances to clear off strep. I also suggest to do culture of tongue swab (oral mucosa) for candida to rule out candida infection too. Do not worry or frighten about all these medical terms. My only scope is to help you and to assure that the infection or problem you are getting through is not discouraging. It will be over as long as you do the right things. Being hot and shaky could have occurred to the panic and worry you got once noticed such problems of neck or throat. You have the solution my dear, and I'm sure you will be fine again without any sore throat problem. But, be patient as it will take time and be consistent in your measures. Wish you health my dear!
