Question: I haven't had sex for 15 years, I am 70 years old. Tried to have intercourse with a new boyfridnd the other nite, his penis went in about 1/2 inch, and couldn't go any further. It was like it either shrank in thsoe 15 years, or, I don't know, it just wouldn't open up???????

I am so sorry to hear about this difficulty you encountered trying to regain control of your sexual life. Two factors have contributed to this. Shrinking is normal with age. However, closure is caused by the fact that you had no sex for 15years. It would need to be dilated progressively again. Please, use no harsh methods. My advise would be to talk to you OBGYN so that he/she can dilate it progressive with vaginal dilators with extreme care. This would help it open up again.
