Question: Hello Doctor I have being using Kirkland minoxidil 5% to grow facial hair for 8 months.I have grown new hair on my cheeks and side burns but the hair is not where I want it to be.I would like thicker hair so I am trying demaroller and black Jamaican castor oil and also thinking about using daulgen-15 to see if that will improve my gains.I was wondering if exercise like weight training would make any difference on my facial hair and can you give me more information to make my hair thicker and stronger.

Brief Answer:
Bodybuilding exercises are good to boost testosterone and beard growth.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Body building exercises are helpful to increase testosterone production and there by increase beard growth. Minoxidil is theoretically helpful in beard growth but there are no studies regarding this. Jamaican castor oil is also good to thicken and nourish beard hair. Avoid castor oil which has added DHT blocker because that will block beard growth.

Avoid stress. You can d stress relaxation exercises like breathing exercise. Sit relaxed and take deep breaths. You can do a couple of times daily.
Get proper sleep daily. Sleep deprivation can have negative impact on beard growth.
Take nutritious food. Taking protein supplements will be good if you are doing body building exercises. Taking biotin supplement is also good. But avoid biotin supplement which has saw palmetto. Keep the facial skin moisturized and avoid itching.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Dualgen 15 has DHT-blocker. So better avoid it for beard growth.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

DHT- dihydrotestosterone is helpful for beard growth but it will cause hair fall on frontal and crown area. So DHT blocker should be avoided when used for beard growth.
Dulagen 15 has DHT blocker - azelaic acid in it. So you should avoid it when using for beard growth. If with out azelaic acid then ok.
