Does Smoking Cause Emphysema?
Question: Would smoking a pack and a half weekly for 10. Years cause emphasyma I do not want the answer to appear in my email. Please answer the question here. Thank you

Yes, it could cause emphysema and/or chronic bronchitis as well.
Both of these are usually considered together, this is why I mentioned it.
They are the diseases or conditions that make up COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).
This is unfortunately a progressive condition but the rate at which it can worsen would vary from one person to the next.
In some it worsens slowly, in others it may be a fast progression.
