Quercitin is a bioflavonoid found in red wine, grapefruit, onions,apples , black tea, some leafy vegetables and beans.

It has anti oxidant and anti inflammatory properties. There are areas in the body called mast cells that release inflammatory mediators (these are chemicals that cause the allergic response). Quercitin helps in preventing these mast cells from releasing these chemicals and thereby preventing allergies.

It is thought that it would be helpful for allergies, including seasonal allergies but this theory has not be tested wide spread in humans.
You can use it either on its own or with your other allergy medications
