Does Iron Deficiency Affect Menstrual Cycle?

Question: Hi

My last period was on 6th Feb. And i didnt get my periods still. I am having my Marriage on XXXXXXX 11th.
When checked with doctor, she suggested me to take multifer -Nt tablet saying blood count is less and that may be a reason. i have taken it for 10 days and still i didnt get my periods.Can you suggest me any tablet that would help me in getting my periods ?

As such in my opinion iron deficiency does not stop your period but yes iron deficiency can occur due to heavy menses.

I think you should rule out other causes of delayed menses.

You can take progesterone ( primolut- n) to initiate your menses after your doctor consultation.

Should i go for another consultation with any other Doctor or i can go ahead of using Primolut-n ?

If i have to use Primolut-n , what is the dosage and how long should i use.
