Does Intake Of Stemetil Cause Episodes Of Vertigo And Hypotension?
Question: hi my dad is on some blood pressure meds. has blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. he has recently got some vertigo episode. was given stemetil 5mg to take at night just for 2 days to get past it. he does get orrthostativ hypotension in the morninggs sometimes. i read stemetil can also cause that. and he sometimes get low blood pressure. is it ok for him to take just for the two days?

Cinnarizine(stemetil) some times causes dizziness,hypotension,drowsiness and rashes.
Taking stemetil for 2-4 days is fine.
If you are really worried then try Tab Vertin 8mg once daily,but discuss it with your physician.
You can give ginkgo biloba pill daily for 10days,It really helps in vertigo permanently
