Question: I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Can this cause nystagmus?

Noted your concern. Hypothyroidism can affect multiple organs of body. Thyroid hormone is required for proper functioning of most tissues of the body.

Nystagmus and vertigo can occur in hypothyroidism rarely . This is especially true if the antibody levels are too high (anti TPO ).
