Hi and welcome to HCM.
Gout may affect hip joint and then it is called hip bursitis, but this is not common manifestation og gout attack so other causes should be considered such as arhritis, arhrosis or neuropathy. If there is no improvement on alopurinol,indometacin or ibuprofenum then this is probably bot gout. you need to do xrays of hip. Wish you good health. Regards
