As of now, from the medicine list, I guess you are talking about coronary artery stent. There are hundreds of other type of stents for different organs of the body. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Coronary stent placement shouldn't cause cough. There must be something else going on, like chest infection, throat infection, gastroesophageal reflux or cardiac failure. So we should get a follow up exam by your doc and some basic tests like chest x-ray, bloodwork, etc to get started.

A course of antibiotics may be required.

Thanks for this. Your observation that coronary stents should not cause a cough is most helpful. I did not realize that there are other kinds of stents. Sorry for that confusion. This was a good $35 gambit on my part. Thanks much.
