the window period in HIV simply means the period from exposure or contacting the virus, till the period through which HIV antibodies in the blood can be detected. Drugs that are usually taking in accidental exposures in HIV help in reducing the virulence and infectiousness of the virus.
However, these are usually specific predetermined antiretroviral drugs, already used and proven effective in treatment of HIV AIDS patients. These drugs do not have a 100 % efficiency.
Coming to your case, the anti viral drug has nothing to do with the reduction in the window period in HIV. Once the individual is infected with HIV, if the virus is injected into the system, it usually takes three months that adequate titres of antibodies against this virus be detected. However, with newer and more sophisticated tests today, the window period of detection has reduced to 6 weeks. I think this answer holds good for your ayur XXXXXXX medicine
Remember that antiviral drugs have nothing to do with reduction of the window period, the window period stays the same. We use the window period actually when the test that shall be used in detecting HIV shall be based on measuring anti bodies to HIV.
When other tests used in detecting HIV, like the PCR (polymerase CHain REaction and P24), these tests detect viral particles and might even detect the viral particles as early as a few weeks after getting the infection.
REmember that the window period is talking about the period used in detecting antiboidies to HIV, and anti viral have nothing to do with the window period. They can reduce the viral load and this can be measured using other techniques like the pcr and specific viral load measurement apparatus.
Thanks and hope this helps.
Best regards and feel free asking nay further questions if need be,
