Brief Answer:
How much quantity did he take?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this difficulty with your dad regarding alcohol. I understand it is very important that he gives this up but if he gets to take minute volumes once in a while, it may be wiser not to scold at him but express support and let him understand that you share with his struggles. Giving up alcohol is not easy and appreciate him for having gone that long without taking it and suggest that if he could put in more efforts, that will be helpful for him to regain his health and get well faster. Tell him you all love him and get him to think of you fighting for him to stay healthy than him seeing it as a fight for him to give up what he loves. Certainly, there are medications which can help if all friendly and non drugs efforts fail to help.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask of more information and clarifications if need be.
