Does Alcohol Consumption While On Revia Cause One To Fall Violently Ill?
Question: My doctor has prescribed REVIA for my alcohol consumption. I have heard that you can get violently ill if one drinks while on this medication. Is this true? And does it really take away cravings?

The drug may result in serious interactions if high dose opioids are taken along with and may result in respiratory depression.
From the available studies and as per my opinion taking alcohol while on this medicine would not cause serious side effects or severe reaction. So you will not get violently ill if you drink while on this medication. But I will advise you to cut down your alcohol consumption.
