Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern about medication side effects.

It would have been wise though if you had mentioned also what are you taking these drugs for, without knowing the diagnosis they have been prescribed for it is a little hard to confidently saying whether they are right or wrong and what can they be substituted with.

Generally speaking those drugs individually and even more when taken together can cause difficulty concentrating and affect cognitive functions. In particular I am not a fan of temazepam, not for long term use. Benzodiazepines like Temazepam are not advised to be used for more than a few weeks, because of their side effects and also due to the fact that they develop tolerance (same dosage is not enough to achieve previous effect). So I suggest an alternative should be considered to temazepam.

I have tinnitus, anxiety and insomnia. I've been on temazepam for 6 months and feel awful. Could you recommend an alternative for sleep? What about gabapentin?
Not sure it helps much. What do you recommend?

Detailed Answer:
As I said temazepam after 6 months should have started to develop tolerance, shouldn't be used that long. Not sure whether you should be using gabapentin either, may be tried at times for anxiety or tinnitus, but the first choice.

I would suggest an antidepressant, those are the first choice for long term anxiety treatment. Since insomnia is an issue as well an antidepressant with sedative properties like amitriptyline or mirtazapine. You should discuss with your doctor about that possibility. Should be careful in removing current drugs though, in particular temazepam, due to withdrawal side effects after 6 months of use. Should not be done right away but by reducing the dose gradually.

Let me know if I can further help you.
