Question: Does Norethisterone affect Ovulation and fertility? I want my periods to be delayed by 4-5 days but after this period, I want to become pregnant. Will I ovulate normally like after 12-13days of a delayed period?

Brief Answer: NO EFFECT ON OVULATION OR FERTILITY. Detailed Answer: Hello Thanks for writing to us with your health concern. Norethisterone just delays the period in the cycle that it is taken. Brief Answer: WAY TO TAKE IT EXPLAINED. Detailed Answer: If your period is due on 22nd March, start the medication today - twice a day. Continue it till as long as you do not wish to menstruate. For example, if you wish to delay it till the 27th of March, then take it till 27th of March. Once you stop the medication, you would have a period within the next 7 days after stopping the drug. Take care.
