One should get injection As Soon As Possible ( ASAP).
There are two injections.
One is Tetanus Toxoid ( to give immunity-which the body will develop ) as a booster if one is already vaccinated within the last 10 years. If not vaccinated another 2 dosage are given 2 nd dose after one month and the third after 9 months.
Second is a Anti-Tetanus serum ( ready made antibodies ) if one is injured with rusty things or has a contaminated wound and has not been vaccinated in last 10 years. Tetanus toxoid is also given.
