Do Progynova, Alivher Or Folinine Cause A Miscarriage?
Question: Hello my i had opted for donor egg ivf. My embryo transfer was done on 12 07 2016 4 calls were transferd.-post that my doctor had prescribed me following tablets :
Hald sr 200 ( morning and night)
Progynova ( thrice a day)
Alivher ( once in a day)
Folinine ( once in a day)
Plus injection lonopin and Miprogen.
Due had prescribed it for 10 days. Due to calculation i took it for one extra day.
Now i m suppose to do hcg test on 22 nd and my doctor has suggested to discontinue tablets and continue injections till i get positive pregnancy test . I worried if not taking tablet will bring period or miscarriage. Please guide me on this issue. There will be gap of one day.

Thanks for the reply sir today i did beta hcg which came at 21.5 . Is it good, today would be 13 days post transfer. My dr has advised me to repeat test after a week. Are my reports good.

As the usual norm is that beta HCG test level above 5 is considered as positive for pregnancy.
Since your doctor wants to monitor rise in the level of HCG, you are advised to check it after a week. As such , HCG levels are measured as per weeks of pregnancy. So by next week, it can be compared to the value of 5 weeks.
