Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for posting your query.
As you have already mentioned that your husband had gastritis 4 years back, there is high possibilities of persisting gastritis yet now.
Does he have acidic belching/ abdominal heaviness/ abdominal bloating/ excessive flatulence?
Bad odor may be due to spoiling of food in stomach.
Patients with gastritis may have decreased stomach motility and food may get spoiled in stomach cavity.
Increased acidity with reflux may cause or associated with soreness in mouth.
You should also consult with physician/ gastro-physician and should go for following investigations: complete blood count, thyroid profile, renal function test, endoscopy and biopsy, serum electrolytes.
Hypothyroidism may cause decreased intestinal movement, spoiling of food, increased cold feeling (cause for chills).
Put your views also.
