Question: after talking with you last time, my father was hospitalized, had labs ran you recomended; many blood tests, for his kidneys, which is now working do to rehydration and meds like zofran for nausea. he is stronger ,up nout of bed and has a appatite again. they did find his prostate was enlarged which will be addressed in two week follow-up.he also had bone scans and his bones incuding his right hip showed inflamation, and diognosed with bursites on the outside of his leg. now my question, is there anything over the counter, homeopathic or any other suggestions that can help with his bursitis besides rest, pain meds, ice ect.thanks XXXXX.

Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your father has bursitis of Rt.Hip joint.Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa in the joint and should be treated with antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs.

Please give him broad spectrum antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medication like Diclofenac twice daily .You can get pain killer like Bruphen over the counter,

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
I think he should recover within 2 weeks.

after your last suggestion in your answer i called around to try to find bruphen and to noavail. web md or any other web site has not heard of this either. is it a suppliment, apain reliever like alieve or what, and where can i get this in the u.s. also is it safe to use with another perscription pain medication like narco. thanks, XXXXX
