Cysts in thyroid and rapid heart beat. What could this be?

Dear Dr.

NO! we are still doing tests as things have gotten worse! They found cysts in his thyroid and his throbbing is a rapid heart beat...too fast at times. We are headed to ER NOW!. ;(

Cysts in the thyroid are often benign and there is no need to worry about them.

Palpitations may be due to anxiety and would settle down, if no problems with his heart are found.
