Hi

Thanks of the query

The smell of iron could be due to various causes such as bleeding from the nose, dry nose (atrophic rhinitis), sinusitis, dental filling, drinking boiled water, etc.

Without a thorough examination of the nose, it is difficult to come to a conclusion as what could be the actual cause. Consult your doctor for a complete evaluation and management.

Till then you can try the following:
1. Drink plenty of normal water
2. Use saline nasal spray to keep the nasal mucosa moist

Hope I have answered your query: I will be available for the follow-up queries.
