Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for your query

See your concern is regarding pigmentation in the groin and gluteal region.
Now first, I would like to tell you that the skin color of one's groin region is determined by one's genes and genetic makeup together with some external factors.
There is very little that can be done to improve it other than removing the external causes of pigmentation.
Since these are areas with very sensitive skin, so we can only use very mild lightening agents to improve the skin color. A combination of kojic acid and vitamin c helps in most cases to lighten the skin tone without causing any irritant reactions. It can be used over the affected areas twice daily for several months together.
Regarding the external factors causing pigmentation, avoid the use of any hair removal creams as these tend to cause pigmentation.
Do not use mustard oil or any other oils. Wear cotton undergarments to reduce any friction, which again tends to increase pigmentation.
You can additionally take oral vitamin c supplementation to improve generalized complexion.
Regarding hair removal methods, shaving or trimming are considered to be safest. You can however go for laser hair reductions also.
Hair growth is determined by hormones, hence more body hair are seen in men.

Hope it helps

Hi XXXXXXX

The creams that you are using are perfectly fine. Kojivit contains a combination of both kojic acid and vitamin c and it can be used over the penile region safely. And as far as melalite xl is concerned, it is a comparatively stronger agent and so recommended only for areas with thicker skin, hence can be used in gluteal region. But make sure that you use melalite xl for only upto 3 months at a stretch. '

Oral vitamin c supplementation can be taken in a dose of 500 mg twice a day and this can be safely taken for months together.
In addition, a diet XXXXXXX in vitamins like citrus fruits and other fresh fruits and salads is very useful as it provides us with antioxidants.

Laser hair reduction is a procedure which can safely be done even in groin region, but make sure that you get it done in experienced hands. It would require monthly or two monthly sittings depending upon the hair growth, density and the thickness of hair which can be judged by the concerned dermatologist.
And yes you are right regarding the hair growth patterns in males and females. These are determined by the hormones ie testosterone and estrogen. Testosterone tends to increase hair growth and hence more body hair in males. And skin color any where on body is , as i told, determined by ones genes. It has no relation with the sex of the individual.

Hope this is helpful

Hi.

Kojivit can take a continuous application of upto 2- 3 months to show good result although the results with melalite xl are pretty faster.

Using a mild scrub over these areas is a good option but it is better to do this once or twice a week only. Doing it on regular basis wont be of that great help.

Xerina cream can be used over gluteal region as it contains glycolic acid and urea, both of which again help in decreasing the skin thickness and improving the skin colour.

Moist care is a good lotion for moisturizing. Dry skin leads to itching and friction and thereby results in increased pigmentation. Keeping the skin moist definitely helps.

Any medicated sunscreen with spf more than 26 is good for Indian skin tone and both the sunscreens that you are using are medicated ones with good results and good sun protection.

Hope it helps,

Hi

You can use cetaphil face cleanser as a regular face wash or even neutrogena deep clean face wash will be good for you.
Use a non-oil based sunscreen to avoid sweating. Neutrogena spf 50 is a good and non-oily face wash.
You can use kojic acid over your underarms as well.
Over the elbows, something like xerina or melalite xl will work very well to lighten the skin.
Dermadew shower gel is a good option for daily use.
